Role Description As a Private Chef at Harbor you will prepare high-quality, nutritionally balanced meals tailored to the specific dietary, cultural, and therapeutic needs of individual clients and their families. This part-time, shift/case based in the London Area, United Kingdom
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing personalised menus, sourcing fresh ingredients, preparing and presenting meals, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety standards. The Private Chef will collaborate with healthcare professionals to align meals with treatment plans, accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, and support clients’ overall wellbeing. The role also involves managing kitchen inventories, controlling food costs, and occasionally supporting special events or family gatherings.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, meal preparation, and plating, with a focus on nutritious, balanced cuisine.
- Proficiency in accommodating dietary restrictions, allergies, and cultural or religious food preferences.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices in kitchen management.
- Experience working in private households, boutique hospitality, healthcare, or wellness-focused settings is desirable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams, support staff, clients, and family members.
- Excellent time management, organization, and adaptability to changing schedules and client needs.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for client confidentiality and diversity.
- Relevant culinary training or certification; professional chef experience in the London area is an advantage.
