Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to manage production processes in our Cookstown, Ireland plant.
Location
Our Cookstown plant is one of the key manufacturing hubs for Copeland, located in Cookstown in the heart of County Tyrone. The site benefits from a strategic central position within Northern Ireland, providing strong road connectivity to major cities including Belfast and Derry/Londonderry, as well as access to key ports and logistics networks supporting UK and international operations.
Responsibilities
- Provides essential technical support to production ensuring processes are efficient, safe, and compliant with quality standards, while driving productivity improvements, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Focuses on process optimization, workplace ergonomics, new product introduction, and effective cross‑functional collaboration.
- Leads continuous improvement and structured problem‑solving activities within an automated manufacturing environment, including robotic welding and handling systems, as well as complex hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
- Supports the mechanical design and development of jigs and fixtures.
- Plans and delivers strategic engineering and operational projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Experience in mechanical design.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Passion for innovation and personal development.
- Enthusiastic, self‑motivated individuals with strong technical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
