Compliance & Fire Safety Sector

Rochester, Kent. £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE). Full-time. 40 hours per week. Permanent. Office-based. Start date: August 2026.

About the Opportunity

We are proud to be partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking compliance and fire safety organisation in Rochester, Kent, to recruit a Head of Administration.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced operations or administration professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building high-performing teams and driving service excellence.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, the Head of Administration will take ownership of the day‑to‑day management of the organisation’s support functions. You will lead both office-based and remote team members, ensuring seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across administrative processes.

This role will also play a key part in supporting wider business growth, contributing to strategic initiatives and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a multi-location administrative support team
  • Oversee workflow management and allocate resources effectively
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management activities
  • Monitor KPIs and ensure consistently high standards of client service delivery

About You

We are looking for a proactive and confident leader with a collaborative approach and a strong track record in managing teams within a compliance, fire safety, or similar regulated environment.

  • Proven management experience within compliance, fire safety, or a related sector
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads in a dynamic setting
  • Experience driving operational improvements and leading change initiatives
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
