We have an exciting opportunity for a Farm Manager to join our Broiler team. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the Broiler Farm, including all aspects of husbandry, ensuring all stock produced is of the highest standard and meets required specifications in terms of weight, quality, health & safety, welfare, etc. The role encompasses commercial and financial aspects of the farm, working to financial and physical budgets, and where appropriate, managing and developing a team of people.

Maintaining the professional integrity and appearance of the farm and dwellings at all times will also be required. With animal welfare at the forefront, you will ensure all health, safety and hygiene processes are adhered to and that the farm staff can carry out their daily duties. You will manage and monitor environmental systems, feed, water, and ventilation systems within agreed guidelines to ensure the highest quality environment so that the birds can thrive. Organized and IT‑literate, you will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all matters relating to the birds, food, and suppliers, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained and controlled to acceptable levels, including management of alarms which may require call‑outs.

With previous experience in a similar role you will be a sound decision maker, able to work autonomously. You’ll ideally have supervisory and people‑management skills and be able to coordinate the work of others to ensure continuous operation of each farm. You will also need to complete the Level 3 qualification Poultry Passport, but ideally you already hold this.

The successful candidate will ‘live’ welfare as a condition in all that they do.

We’re looking for individuals who can work autonomously and enjoy a hands‑on role in a farming environment. A keen interest in farming, with animal welfare of the utmost importance, indicates you match our values; your passion for learning will ensure that you can continue to acquire new skills.
