Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)

Salary: GBP45,000 – GBP55,000 (Profit Share & Share Options)

Job Type: Full–Time, Permanent

We’re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering team developing advanced robotic and automated systems. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll work across the full product lifecycle, from concept development through to manufacture and deployment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing mechanical systems and assemblies
• Producing high–quality SolidWorks models and drawings
• Working on robotics and automated machinery
• Supporting prototype development and testing
• Collaborating with software, electronics and manufacturing teams

Essential Skills

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering
• 4+ years product development experience
• Strong SolidWorks experience
• Design for Manufacture (DFM)
• GD&T and tolerance analysis

Desirable Experience

• Robotics
• Automation equipment
• Actuators and mechanisms
• FEA analysis
• Mechatronics systems
