Job Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA’s core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments. The VCA UK&I team is looking for a Client Consulting Analyst to add to our growing team and contribute to a range of clients and projects.
Responsibilities
- Support a team of experienced professionals in delivering strategic consulting services to key Visa clients.
- Complete detailed analysis on client data and identify preliminary trends and themes in the data with some guidance.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to identify insights in the payment industry.
- Support the development of client‑specific presentations by adapting templates for unique client scenarios and needs.
- Support senior consultants in developing and delivering high‑quality advisory solutions to clients, such as business strategy, product development, pricing, customer segmentation and customer experience improvement.
- Perform the above duties in a hybrid environment, alternating between remote and office, with expectation to work from the office at least 3 days a week.
Qualifications
- Payment industry, digital payments or payment processing experience preferred.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with a strong attention to detail that leverages multiple sources of information.
- Ability to understand and start to disaggregate problem statements into distinct pieces of analysis.
- Use and adapt templates for unique client scenarios, optimizing structure to demonstrate and articulate key messages.
- Ability to execute quantitative and qualitative analysis with some guidance.
- Basic takeaways from the data and ability to craft storylines; ensure data quality and leverage data to support decision‑making in project management.
- Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts.
- Strong multi‑tasking skills and ability to adapt.
- Proficient and ideally a power‑user of spreadsheet and presentation tools.
- An interest in learning advanced analytics tools (SAS, R, Tableau, etc.).
- An interest in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending is a plus.
- An affinity for payments technology, FinTech and digital.
