Home Findings & Partnerships Officer

Pay rate – £21.04 Umbrella / £16.62 PAYE

Bristol Council

For the first few weeks you will be fully office‑based, but following this you will be able to work from home two days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive referrals for CYP outlining their interests, wishes and challenges, ensuring the referral is strengths‑based.
  • Engage with potential homes/providers to explore suitability and share options with SW teams.
  • Negotiate packages and costs to ensure value for money.
  • Understand what a home is offering to support a curious and diligent approach.
  • Produce report writing to seek approval for the chosen home.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, including data collection on Excel.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Health and Education to ensure CYP have all they need going forward.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales (or Social Work England)
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for a DBS
  • Three years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
