Pump Service Centre Team Leader
This key role within the Pump Service Centre involves maintaining high workshop standards, ensuring the effective delivery of repair and replacement services for internal customers, and leading by example in driving strong health and safety behaviours across all activities.
The role provides day‑to‑day onsite management of workshop technicians, oversees all repair work, and acts as the main point of contact for customers on technical queries and incoming job requests. It also involves managing supplier performance against SLAs, building strong relationships, and continuously improving service delivery standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive the workshop to meet SLAs for repairs and replacements for internal customers.
- Ensure a right first‑time approach to repairs, collaborating with internal customers to maximize asset efficiency.
- Maintain the highest standards in the PSC, paying close attention to HSSW within the workshop and improving standards across the team.
- Effectively manage supplier performance, working closely with category managers and GC colleagues to drive improvements in data, performance and service levels.
- Manage key internal stakeholders.
- Drive customer service excellence, robust SLAs that drive performance improvements and meeting them regularly to understand current and new requirements.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement to achieve the goal of becoming a recognised industry leader, including the use of SBF.
- Lead the delivery of specific business objectives across the PSC.
- Ensure the correct and optimised use of systems and technology to drive efficiency and enable good financial controls and process compliance.
- Help set the PSC strategy, including leading the delivery of local and strategic improvement projects.
What you’ll bring to the role
Successful candidates will have strong operational knowledge, including experience with pumps and other assets, and the ability to diagnose issues and carry out repairs effectively. You will be confident using IT systems such as SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Working under pressure to meet targets, with good numerical and financial awareness to support decision‑making, is essential. A strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving ability are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence customers, stakeholders and suppliers.
