Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Nuneaton

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

We are a fast‑paced, expanding manufacturing organisation seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical maintenance of production equipment, including fault finding, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventive maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement projects, machinery upgrades and new equipment installations.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximise performance and minimise downtime.
• Use mechanical knowledge and engineering qualifications to maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with hands‑on experience in pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
• Engineering qualification.
• Strong mechanical skills and fault‑finding experience.
• Experience working within a production environment.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Desirable: working knowledge of belts, bearings, pulleys, shafts, gearboxes, chains, pumps, hydraulics; welding skills; a can‑do and driven attitude.
