Role Overview
FTE: 1 (35 hours/week), Term: Fixed (36 months, expected end date 31/05/2029). The IDA will support DHI, part of the Health Frontiers €9.1 million investment in digital health & MedTech innovation, to deliver cross‑border research and innovation.
Primary base: DHI’s Rural Centre of Excellence in Moray, Elgin, with activities also at GSA Forres site and other locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate design‑workshops, codesign and participatory sessions.
- Support insight generation and consensus building across clinical, academic and industry stakeholders.
- Help companies assess innovation readiness and identify pathways for progression.
- Support events such as seminars, information sessions and capability building workshops.
- Visualise concepts, workflows, current and future state service models.
- Document insights and produce high‑quality design artefacts.
- Collaborate with Innovation Lead, Design Director, researchers, technologists and programme managers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working within higher education, health, care or creative/digital industries, ideally in research, public engagement, technology development or economic development.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and adapt in dynamic interdisciplinary environments.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; confident engagement with stakeholders across academia, health, industry and public sector.
- Demonstrated high level of personal responsibility, initiative, judgment and time management.
- Experience with stakeholder relationships, knowledge exchange networks, and portfolio support is desirable.
Working Conditions
Flexible blended working environment incorporating home‑working, on‑site activity and travel to partner organisations across Scotland, the wider UK and internationally. Regular travel to Ireland and Northern Ireland is required. The post is line‑managed by the Innovation Lead and employs a matrix management approach with the Design Director and Director of Planning and Performance.
