External Sales Executive
Location: Redditch
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven External Sales Executive to join a well-established and successful business within the electrical wholesale industry.
This is a field-based role focused on developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts and building long-term customer relationships across your designated territory. If you enjoy meeting customers, winning new business and being rewarded for your success, this could be the ideal opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through proactive cold calling, networking and customer visits.
- Develop and manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
- Build strong relationships with customers to maximise sales opportunities.
- Identify and target new business within your geographical area.
- Present products and solutions confidently to prospective customers.
- Produce quotations and follow up on sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the internal sales and branch teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced sales professional with a passion for winning new business.
- Confident making cold calls and approaching new customers face-to-face.
- Commercially aware with excellent negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to manage their own workload.
- Professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Driven by targets and motivated by success.
- In possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
Experience within electrical wholesale, construction supplies or a similar distribution environment would be advantageous, but candidates with a strong external sales background from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.
