Design Engineer (Electro-Mechanical)

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering consultancy working on technically challenging electro‑mechanical products, offering the chance to take designs from concept through to manufacture whilst gaining international exposure and long‑term career progression.
In this role, you will be involved in every stage of the design process, from concept generation and detailed design through to simulation, prototyping, testing, certification and production support. You will collaborate with technical and manufacturing teams across multiple international locations while helping develop innovative electro‑mechanical products for global markets.
Responsibilities
- Design electro‑mechanical products and systems using SolidWorks
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
- Carry out design validation through simulation, testing and development activities
- Support prototype build, testing and certification projects
- Create and update installation, operation and maintenance documentation
Qualifications
- Senior Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or Electro‑Mechanical Design Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of experience using 3D CAD software within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD packages
- Lives locally to Nottingham or willing to commute
