About the RoleA well-established supplier of timber and building materials is seeking a driven and ambitious Assistant Branch Manager to join their Belfast branch.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in the ongoing success of a busy, customer-focused branch.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Branch Manager across day-to-day branch operations, helping to drive performance, people, sales and profitability.
Duties will include:
- Supporting the Branch Manager in driving the branch forward in line with company objectives
- Achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets
- Assisting with the management and development of departments across the branch
- Overseeing stock control and ensuring availability meets customer demand
- Leading by example to deliver excellent customer service
- Building strong relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers
- Supporting the wider team in a fast-paced trade environment
The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will be a confident and proactive individual with strong leadership and communication skills.
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, assistant manager or branch management role
- Experience within timber, building materials, construction supplies, trade counter, merchanting or a similar environment
- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on sales, margin and customer service
- The ability to motivate and support a team
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A hands-on, can-do attitude
- Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems
