Deputy Clinical Services Manager – Outpatients

Salary: Up to £48,950.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Overview
We have an opportunity for a Deputy Clinical Services Manager to join our team of staff in the Outpatients department. This is a full‑time role for 37.5 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Assist with daily staff allocation, rotas, and managing safe staffing levels and skill mix across the unit.
- Work clinically as part of the rota, providing expert oversight and supporting the nursing team during shifts.
- Ensure the unit operates safely, efficiently, and effectively, upholding high standards of patient care at all times.
- Contribute to audits, incident reporting, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and appraisal support to nursing staff and junior leaders.
- Support the implementation of service improvements, innovation, and operational changes.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
- Significant experience in a ward, inpatient, or critical care nursing environment.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
- Good understanding of governance, patient safety, and ward/critical care protocols.
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
