Consultant – Forensic Psychiatrist – Riverside Centre

Role Overview

The Adult Forensic Service at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust seeks two Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists to contribute to the development of our new model of care in our male medium secure and women’s blended services at The Riverside Centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical care as the responsible clinician for 12–16 male inpatients or 10–12 female inpatients from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care in partnership with medical secretary, junior doctors, clinical psychologist, social worker, occupational therapist and nursing staff.
• Provide on‑call service, conduct access assessments and perform additional clinical duties as negotiated with consultant colleagues.
• Support the physical health of service users through collaboration with visiting GP, dentist and physical health team.

Working Environment

Full‑time placement available within either the women’s blended secure service or the male medium secure service.
