Senior Electrical Electronics Components Engineer.

Our Electrical / Electronic Department is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Electronics Components Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The role allows for the introduction of new and exciting automotive technology across our range of motorcycles, the Electrical & Electronic Systems department is looking to bring in talented, passionate, and driven component engineers at both engineer and senior engineer level to join our Electrical / Electronic Components Engineering team, to support our future model development.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic components across chassis, powertrain, electric driveline, RESS and HMI systems.
  • Define, specify and validate components to meet system requirements, safety standards (FuSa), environmental conditions and EMC regulations.
  • Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues and risks at both component and full motorcycle level.
  • Manage component delivery against quality, cost and timing targets, working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Develop and manage hardware requirements and system architectures, supporting integration with systems, software and modelling teams.

Experience & Skills required:

  • BEng / BSc or MEng / MSc in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or HND in relevant subject and relevant hardware experience.
  • Proficient in hardware specification, requirements capture / management and managing suppliers.
  • Experienced in managing suppliers to deliver ECU’s / Components against project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of CAN communication and familiarity with tools such as CANalyser / CANoe (or similar) is desirable.
  • Specific areas of interest e.g. EMC, hardware functional safety, connectivity or user interface design etc.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 39hrs per week.
