Job Title: Project Manager – Pharma (6-12 month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: London and Brackley – Hybrid (plus travel as required)
Job Overview
Strata are seeking a Project Manager to join their expanding team, initially working as an implant within one of our pharmaceutical clients.
Experience of working with pharmaceutical clients in the events industry is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- The ability to manage multiple projects, internal stakeholders and deadlines in a calm and composed manner
- Partner with internal project leaders to establish event requirements
- Develop event briefs for third parties’ suppliers/ vendors
- Experience in congresses, pharma standalone meetings, ad boards, product launches working across multiple departments i.e. procurement/ marketing/ legal/ compliance/ brand teams etc
- Be able to multitask and prioritise to manage all internal expectations in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage internal stakeholder and supplier relationships throughout and to advise and suggest alternatives where necessary
- Creation and management of a granular project planner detailing all milestones and ensuring the project is delivered in a timely and efficient manner
- Confidently negotiate with all suppliers ensuring that SLAs for savings and negotiation are achieved and contractual terms and conditions are favourable
- Global venue knowledge is desirable
- Oversee venue searches, making informed recommendations and leading client site visits
- Reconcile all events within agreed timelines, ensuring all relevant paperwork is supplied in the required format
- Be the gatekeeper at all times for compliance, ensuring the high standards of the events are met but within the requisite guidelines
Required Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical events role
- Experience working on a range of regional (EMEA) face to face, hybrid and virtual events preferred
- Experience of delegate management and knowledge of registration processes/tools e.g. Cvent experience within an events agency or in-house corporate events role
- Experience working with third party suppliers
- An understanding of pharmaceutical compliance codes desired (EFPIA, ABPI)
