We’re looking for an ambitious Junior HR Business Partner to join our HR team. This role would suit a confident HR Advisor looking to develop into a partnering role. You’ll provide day‑to‑day HR support, handle the full employee lifecycle, and work closely with managers on people matters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day HR queries from managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
  • Advise on HR policies, procedures and best practice to ensure consistent, fair outcomes.
  • Support absence and performance management, providing guidance and documentation to managers.
  • Handle employee relations issues (e.g. investigations, disciplinaries, grievances), escalating where needed.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and use HR systems and data effectively.
  • Review HR processes and recommend improvements to quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support and lead HR projects on engagement, wellbeing, retention, talent and performance.
  • Help develop and review HR policies to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
  • Assist with HR reporting and analysis, using metrics to inform decisions and highlight trends.
  • Work with Heads of Office and leaders on appraisals and talent discussions, progressing towards succession planning.
  • Gradually own defined departments/offices as their main HR contact for operational and emerging strategic needs.
  • Support performance improvement plans and organisational change, building confidence in influencing stakeholders.
  • Coach managers on core people management skills to build capability and accountability.

Job Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a HR Advisor/Generalist role.
  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum), ideally Level 5 or working towards.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, solutions focused and confident in taking ownership.
  • Highly organized, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability and sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategic and operational HR support.
  • Experience driving talent management, appraisals and succession planning.
  • Strong background in employee relations, performance and change management.
  • Confident using HR systems and data for insights and decision making.
