Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Casual Security Officer to join the G4S team at a well-known site in Winfrith, Dorchester.
Contract Information
- Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour
- Hours: Casual role (zero hours) covering days, nights, and weekends as required
- Shift Pattern: Days 07:00 – 19:00 and Nights 19:00 – 07:00
- SIA Licence: Valid SIA Licence preferred; training provided
- Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required
- SC Clearance: Must clear SC clearance to pass probation
- Age: Must be over 18 years old
Responsibilities
As a Security Officer you will ensure the safety of customers, staff, buildings and assets while delivering excellent customer service. Duties include greeting staff and visitors, ensuring adherence to security protocols, conducting searches where required, patrolling the premises, and dealing with security incidents. You will de‑escalate situations in a firm but respectful manner, and provide a friendly and professional service at all times.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, a team player, and driven to provide a friendly and professional service. Good IT knowledge is essential. Previous security experience and an SIA licence are beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
