The Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, taking responsibility for technical assessments and geotechnical design work. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver practical, cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Geotechnical interpretation of ground investigation data
- Foundation design and recommendations
- Slope stability and earthworks assessments
- Retaining wall design and analysis
- Geotechnical reporting and technical documentation
- Preparation of design calculations and specifications
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to project delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience within a geotechnical consultancy or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles
- Experience using geotechnical software packages
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
