Accounts Semi-Senior – Peterborough – Top 10 Firm

Our client is a Top 10 practice known for their excellent training schemes from trainee to Partner, international links and flexible working policy. With a national network of offices, they offer both national and international services, to wide ranges of clients within their specialised teams. They’re one of the fastest growing firms in the UK, proactively identifying opportunities to expand and develop their industry presence.
Responsibilities
- Preparing financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards from source documents/records to final accounts for review by the appropriate manager
- Preparing accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements
- Working on a wide range of accounts including FRS102, FRS102 1A, partnerships and consolidations
- Developing and maintaining good client relations
- Liaising with clients directly or through relevant managers to resolve queries or obtain further information
Qualifications
- AAT Qualified or studying towards ACCA, or ACA
- Strong practical knowledge/experience of accounts preparation with at least two to three years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong double entry knowledge and skill
- Cloud based accounting systems knowledge – use of Xero and QuickBooks knowledge would be beneficial
- Basic tax knowledge – awareness of how to do tax computations, PAYE, VAT
