The Product Operations Manager is a foundational hire responsible for building the operational, governance, and analytical infrastructure required to launch the Business and Wallet in the UK. This role ensures that Product Owners, Product Managers, Designers, and Compliance can operate with clarity, consistency, and velocity. You will design and implement the core systems that enable the product organisation to scale, elevate delivery quality, and make data-driven decisions. As the function matures, this role evolves from builder to force multiplier — accelerating team performance and improving cross-functional alignment.
This role
- – Change control process — documented and operational within 30 days
- – Product Governance Forum and Definition of Ready / Done standards across all PODs
- – Regulatory checkpoint process embedded as a release gate
- – Product analytics dashboards — build and maintain the core BI stack
- – Tooling standards and process documentation across the product function
- – Cross-POD dependency tracking and sprint health monitoring
- – Launch coordination — ensuring releases go out with compliance sign-off, stakeholder comms, and tested features
- – Data and insight supply to PM/POs
Essential
– 3–5 years in a product operations, programme management, or delivery management role within a scaling product team
– FinTech or regulated-industry background — familiarity with compliance checkpoints and audit trails in a product release process
- – Hands-on product analytics experience — has built dashboards
- – Demonstrable experience establishing governance frameworks in an immature product function
- – Strong written output — process documentation, governance standards, executive reporting
- – Experience managing cross-team dependencies and launch coordination at pace
- – Able to get engineering and product teams to follow process without being bureaucratic
- – Comfortable operating in an environment without established infrastructure — builds structure, does not wait for it
