This is an exciting opportunity to join Homes England’s Digital Delivery team as a Business Analyst. You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering digitally enabled systems and services that are simpler, more effective and user-focused.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst looking to make a meaningful impact while continuing to develop within the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) profession.
Job description
As a Business Analyst, you will lead small-to-medium sized projects and support larger, more complex initiatives within our Digital Delivery team.
You will work closely with Product Managers and multidisciplinary teams to shape priorities, manage product backlogs and deliver user-focused digital products. Building strong stakeholder relationships will be key, ensuring priorities are aligned and outcomes support wider strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Translating business needs into clear, actionable artefacts such as epics, features and user stories
- Supporting the development and management of product backlogs
- Facilitating workshops, stakeholder sessions and agile ceremonies
- Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and drive efficiencies
- Analysing complex problems and recommending effective digital and non-digital solutions
- Supporting both agile and waterfall delivery approaches, producing appropriate documentation where required
- Contributing to the wider business analysis community by sharing best practice and supporting others
You will play an important role in ensuring our services are designed and delivered in a way that meets user needs and aligns with Homes England’s digital vision.

Person specification
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who is confident working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence decisions and communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working in agile environments, including managing backlogs and developing user stories
- An understanding of waterfall methodologies and the ability to produce high-level, functional and non-functional requirements
- The ability to analyse complex business problems and translate them into practical solutions
- Experience facilitating workshops and working with multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to switch between different delivery styles and priorities
You will also bring:
- A solid understanding of business processes and a track record of identifying and delivering improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including defining problem statements and evaluating options
- Experience working with user-centred design principles and delivering user-focused outcomes
- A commitment to continuous improvement and contributing to a community of practice
