Training Programme Director for O&G ST3-5 – NW

Overview

The Training Programme Director in Obstetrics & Gynaecology ST3-5 will support the Head of School in the strategic development of the School of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, lead recruitment and retention strategy, contribute to operating programmes, and serve as a member of the School Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the School’s Recruitment and Retention Strategy.
• Contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
• Serve as a member of the School Board.
• Improve learner supervision, assessment, and learning experience.
• Engage faculty and ensure effective educational outcomes.
• Drive whole workforce transformation and develop multi‑professional links.
• Cover Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and South Cumbria region.
• Expected to work at least 40% of the time in office base.

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant with a thorough understanding of O&G training across the region, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi‑professional team.
