Overview
We are looking for individuals with previous experience in Security, Policing, or the Armed Forces to work as Bank Police Custody Detention Officers. This role supports the police within custody suites, caring for detainees and assisting with their rehabilitation. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide physical, mental and welfare support to detainees during their custody.• Escort detainees and undertake recorded observations as per individual care plans.• Work closely with police and other agencies to manage detainees who pose a risk of self-harm or violence.• Participate in national Police Vetting and receive pay for days attending the ITC course.
Qualifications
- Previous police, security or armed forces experience is beneficial.
- Reasonable level of spoken and written English and basic numeracy.
- Full valid driving licence.
- Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
- Valid British passport or settled status.
- All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.
Wages and Benefits
- £13.75 per hour.
- Minimum of 2, 12‑hour shifts per month.
- Holiday entitlement based on hours worked.
