Estate Manager – UHNW Heritage Estate

Location: Two hour drive from London

Reporting to: Chief of Staff

We are seeking a Visionary Estate Manager to lead the stewardship, performance, and future direction of a significant UHNW heritage rural estate.

This is a rare opportunity to combine heritage conservation with innovation, sustainability, and commercial performance, shaping the long-term evolution of a complex multi-asset estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day and strategic management of a UHNW estate including residential, agricultural, commercial, and heritage assets
  • Drive a long-term estate vision that balances heritage and environmental responsibility
  • Lead capital projects from concept to completion, including restoration, development, and infrastructure improvements
  • Champion sustainability across the estate, including biodiversity, carbon reduction, and regenerative land management
  • Lead renewable energy initiatives, particularly solar PV and wider low-carbon infrastructure development
  • Manage estate budgets, financial performance, and long-term asset strategies
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, and specialist advisors to ensure best-in-class delivery
  • Oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration
  • Deliver regular estate reporting covering performance, risk, projects, and sustainability metrics
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and modern estate management practices

About You:

  • Proven experience in UHNW, heritage, or complex rural estate management
  • Strong operational experience
  • Passion for environmental stewardship, sustainability, and landscape enhancement
  • Experience or strong interest in renewable energy (especially solar PV)
  • Commercially sharp with excellent financial and organisational capability
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage UHNW stakeholders, tenants, and professional teams
  • Degree educated with professional qualification (e.g. RICS) desirable
