Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Information Security & Privacy Specialist to join Handelsbanken UK as part of a major technology transformation programme. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Secure Change Community of Practice, ensuring that the Bank’s security and privacy processes, tooling and ways of working allow our Embedded Security Consultants to integrate security seamlessly into change initiatives from inception through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep knowledge of the Bank’s secure change processes and procedures, providing specialist advice to consultants and delivering parts of onboarding and ongoing training.
- Provide expert data privacy advice to Embedded Security Consultants, collaborating with other Privacy/Data Protection specialists to agree a common position.
- Actively participate in the Community of Practice, enhancing processes and ways of working, producing quality documentation and training materials.
- Support Embedded Security Consultants in applying processes and ways of working to initiatives that do not fit the standard operating model.
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate
- Skilled communicator, able to explain complex processes to embedded security consultants.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with other security professionals.
- Creative problem‑solving capability and experience enhancing processes.
- Broad knowledge of information security and data privacy, with awareness of personal knowledge gaps and a willingness to seek guidance.
- Understanding of the intersection of Risk Management and Information Security within a financial services business (3LoD model).
- Appropriate external qualifications such as CISSP and CIPP (or equivalent).
