Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an organised and analytical professional with experience supporting quality assurance, compliance, or academic administration, ideally within higher education or another regulated environment. You will have a strong eye for detail, confidence working with data and evidence to identify risk, and the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. A degree, or equivalent professional experience, and a commitment to fairness, transparency, and enhancing the student experience are essential.
What you’d be doing
You will support the effective oversight of academic quality and standards across the University’s collaborative partners, with a particular focus on partner compliance and risk management. Your day to day work will include monitoring partner risk indicators and KPIs, supporting annual risk assessments and due diligence processes, coordinating partner training, and contributing to audits, assessment sampling, and improvement planning. Working closely with colleagues across the Quality and Academic Standards Unit, academic departments, and external partners, you will help ensure regulatory compliance and promote consistent, high quality academic practice across partner provision.
You’ll need to enjoy
- Working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partners to support shared quality and compliance objectives
- Analysing information and data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement
- Communicating with clarity and confidence, producing accurate reports, guidance, and committee documentation
- Managing multiple priorities in a busy environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Contributing to continuous improvement, supporting projects that enhance quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Working to your values: we care about how people behave as well as what they achieve.
Where you’ll work
In this role, you’ll be based in the Quality and Academic Standards Unit, on our green campus in the north of Plymouth.
Our current hybrid working policy means you can work from home or on campus, but you will be required to maintain strong campus links and be available on-site at least 2 days per week.
We offer a wide range of staff benefits, depending on eligibility.
We warmly welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, reflecting our strong commitment to inclusion. As a Disability Confident Employer, we guarantee an interview to disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for the role.
