Interim Procurement Specialist

Talentmark are recruiting for an Interim Procurement Specialist with a strong GMP background to join a niche consultancy.

This will be a ten-month contract for two days a week, one of which will be on-site in London or Buckinghamshire. Excellent daily rate.

The Role:

As Interim Procurement Specialist you lead the manufacturing and CRO direct spend workstream for a UK pharma cost out programme. You will act as the technical authority on direct categories as well as delivering detailed analysis, supplier negotiation and savings.

Responsibilities:

• End to end delivery of direct spend cost out initiatives across APIs, CMOs, CROs, laboratories, packaging and quality services
• Build bottom-up baselines, identify value levers and convert opportunities into implemented, measurable savings
• Act as the credible senior expert with technical and commercial stakeholders, supporting both client engagement and consulting team delivery

Your Background:

• Experience of direct procurement in the life sciences industry
• A deep understanding of GMP and well as experience with other GxPs
• A proven track record in opportunity identification, supplier negotiation and cost modelling
• Experience of data analytics
• Ability to achieve cost savings across a complex, regulated spend
