Salary from £48,400 – £60,000 per annum DOE plus 10% annual bonus & single person health care

About the role

Responsible for the effective operation, continuous improvement, and strategic support of the organisation’s HR and client‑facing systems, including platforms such as Oracle EBS, Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, and SAP financial systems supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable.

This role blends system administration, data analysis, reporting, and process optimisation to enhance operational efficiency, ensure data integrity and support compliance. By leveraging tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy and Python, the analyst delivers actionable insights that drive informed decision‑making and stakeholder satisfaction, aligning technology solutions with organisational goals and user needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Administer user provisioning and de‑provisioning across systems, maintaining role‑based access controls (RBAC).
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and support recertification processes.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GDPR, SOX and other regulations.
  • Maintain audit trails and documentation for system changes and access logs.
  • Design and deliver ad‑hoc and scheduled reports using tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, Oracle EBS, Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to support planning, compliance and operational KPIs.
  • Retrieve and collate data from systems including SAP, Oracle and Workday, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity across all reporting outputs.
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of end‑to‑end processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Apply Python and other programming languages to automate and enhance reporting and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives and data‑lake development.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Monitor and manage incidents and service requests via Service Now (IT and My Hub).
  • Document root‑cause analyses and preventive measures for recurring issues.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching and testing (UAT, regression).
  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to implement system enhancements and resolve issues.
  • Stay current with technology trends and recommend innovations aligned with business goals.

Key skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in reporting tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Experience with Python, SQL and data manipulation for automation and analysis.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and process‑mapping skills.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data integrity and data governance.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools and processes for managing incidents, service requests and change control.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate them into meaningful insights.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of system issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Capable of designing and delivering ad‑hoc reports to meet dynamic business requirements.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOX and internal audit standards.
  • Experience supporting audit processes, including evidence gathering, documentation and remediation tracking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight timescales.
  • Experience participating in system upgrades, testing (UAT, regression) and implementation of new features or modules.
  • Ability to document processes, create user guides and contribute to knowledge management.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps or ITIL methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language for non‑technical stakeholders.

Minimum Criteria

  • Degree qualified in a data or information systems discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Systems/Data Analyst or equivalent role.
  • High proficiency in reporting tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Service Now).
  • Experience with Python, SQL and data manipulation for automation and analysis.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and process‑mapping skills.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, data integrity and data governance.
  • Experience with incident management and resolution processes.
  • Awareness and exposure to AI‑driven analytics and predictive reporting.
