Mental Health Practitioner – Bridgwater CMHS

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Service based at Glanville House, Bridgwater. This role is open to Registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers with significant post‑registration experience in community mental health.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, delivering high‑quality assessment and evidence‑based psychosocial interventions using a recovery‑focused and strengths‑based approach.
• Contribute to clinical leadership, provide supervision to colleagues and work collaboratively with partner agencies across health, social care, voluntary and community services.
• Manage complex clinical situations, including risk assessment and safeguarding, with flexibility and autonomy.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Band 6 experience as a Mental Health Practitioner.
• Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with significant post‑registration experience in community mental health.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
