Food Production Manager – Basildon£40,000 – £45,000 (DOE) | Monday–Friday | 10:00am–6:30pm | Permanent Role
Staffright are recruiting on behalf of a valued client within the food production sector, based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Production Manager to join a growing, purpose-driven business focused on delivering fresh, nutritious meals.
The Role
This is a full-time, site-based position where you will oversee daily food production operations and manage a team of approximately 15 staff.
Key responsibilities include:Supervising and leading production teams to ensure efficiency and performancePlanning and organising production schedulesMaintaining high standards of food quality and safetyEnsuring compliance with hygiene and food safety regulationsDriving continuous improvement and achieving KPIsCollaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality output
Requirements3–5 years’ supervisory/management experience within food or FMCG manufacturingStrong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and SALSA/BRCGS (or equivalent)Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teamsExperience in production planning and operations managementExcellent organisational and problem-solving abilitiesStrong commitment to health, safety, and quality standardsRelevant food safety/hygiene certifications (preferred)Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and KPI delivery
