Repairs Officer – Surrey | Interim Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Repairs Officer to join a busy Housing Assets team on a temporary basis in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-quality responsive repairs service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for day‑to‑day repairs enquiries
- Raise and manage repair requests with contractors
- Oversee shared inboxes, including new requests, follow‑ups, and stakeholder enquiries
- Assist with reactive repairs queries and provide support to the Repairs Manager
- Take ownership of repairs complaints, managing cases from initial enquiry through to resolution
- Provide cover for the Repairs Manager when required
Key Requirements
- Previous experience within housing repairs
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Experience working with contractors and managing service performance
- Ability to handle complaints and stakeholder enquiries effectively
- Confident communicator with a customer‑focused approach
- Experience within a local authority or housing association (desirable)
