Role: QA Test Engineer
Location: We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 2-3 days a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

Join our Quality Assurance team as a QA Test Engineer, embedded within Agile delivery squads building the digital platforms that power Pharmacy2U. You’ll work across modern web and mobile applications, helping ensure features are delivered with confidence and a strong focus on patient experience.
Working closely with engineers, product managers, and other QA specialists, you’ll lead manual and exploratory testing, support API testing, and play a key role in improving quality throughout the development lifecycle. As the team evolves, you’ll also help shape and grow our automation testing capabilities.
What you’ll be doing?
- Designing and executing manual and exploratory tests across web and mobile platforms.
- Testing APIs and integrations to ensure services interact correctly and data flows reliably across systems.
- Creating and maintaining test cases, test plans and supporting documentation to ensure strong coverage of functional requirements.
- Investigating issues, raising defects clearly in Jira and working closely with engineers to support resolution.
- Collaborating with developers and product managers in Agile squads to identify risks early and improve quality throughout the development process.
- Supporting regression and release testing to help ensure stable deployments.
- Contributing to automation testing and supporting the continued adoption of modern testing practices.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience testing modern web applications and service-based systems.
- Comfortable performing both manual and exploratory testing.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and enjoy collaborating with engineers and product teams.
- Experience managing defects using tools such as Jira.
- Exposure to tested APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Exposure to automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or similar.
- Familiar with applications built using TypeScript or modern web frameworks such as React.
- Exposure to or interest in performance testing using tools such as k6.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance practices.
- Awareness of CI/CD workflows and development tooling such as Azure DevOps.
- Interested in continuing to develop your skills in automation testing and modern quality engineering practices.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
