Transportation Operations Manager

A growing logistics and distribution business is looking to appoint a Transport Operations Manager to take control of a busy, fast-moving operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for keeping transport running efficiently, safely, and on time.

This is not a desk-based role, you’ll be on the ground, managing teams, solving problems, and driving performance daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
• Manage driver teams, performance, and day-to-day issues
• Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, driver hours, and tachographs
• Monitor fleet utilisation, routing, and cost efficiency
• Deal with operational challenges quickly and effectively
• Work closely with internal teams to maintain service levels across key contracts
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience managing transport operations in a logistics or distribution environment
• Strong understanding of compliance, fleet management, and operational delivery
