International Region, Insights & Analytics Director

The Director will lead the Insights & Analytics function for the International region covering Europe, 3P Markets, GTR/Travel Retail and LATAM. The role reports to the Global VP of Insights and Analytics (New York) and has a dotted line to the International President.

Role Responsibilities

The Director owns category, market, consumer and brand insights across the portfolio, develops trends and forecasts, and drives marketplace success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of two managers (Europe/3P/LATAM) and three insights teams (GTR, UK, Spain) with dotted line reporting.
  • Developing and executing learning plans to identify, develop and integrate consumer and brand insights.
  • Partnering with Marketing, Sales, Strategy, Finance and Commercial teams to drive consumer‑centric decision making and enable adaptation of global brand strategies in local markets.
  • Defining business growth opportunities and enhancing communication strategy, consumer targeting, innovation execution and brand investment.
  • Overseeing syndicated (market share) and primary research, ensuring insights are incorporated from a variety of internal and external sources.

  • Experience setting, aligning and delivering an insights agenda and ensuring it is executed with excellence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at influencing executive‑level management.
  • Skilled in story‑telling with a succinct, impactful style.
  • Flexible, self‑directed leader capable of working autonomously.
  • Team player comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Highly adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver work with excellence.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research projects across design, execution, analysis and recommendation.
  • Familiarity with a range of research methodologies (concept testing, advertising, packaging, positioning, segmentation, etc.).
  • Experience in managing an independent research budget.
  • Adept at leveraging custom research and existing internal resources to inform brand strategy and business decisions.
  • Proficient with syndicated sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Panel data, MRI) and generating actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data.

Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree a plus.
  • 12‑15 years of custom insight/research experience.
  • Experience in the International region, ideally with strong alcoholic beverage focus.
  • Extensive client‑side experience in leading CPG companies.
  • Proven leadership of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and suppliers.
  • Experience leading analytics and syndicated data for reporting.
  • Experience managing teams and leading leaders.
