- Working with audit management to assist with the delivery of its annual objectives, in particular the annual global Audit Plan
- Making a contribution to the continued evolution of IA’s improvement and strategy, IA’s methodology, data analytics and assurance
- Helping to provide consultancy and advisory services to departments across the Group on data analytics and automation governance and control
- Assisting with the delivery of the Controls Assurance programme as it relates to data analytics and technology assurance
What you will be doing:
- Delivering audit and / or advisory work to a high standard, adding value to stakeholders, and challenging convention where necessary; and having the confidence and ability to tackle more complex audits and other assurance assignments alongside others in the team, in line with expected timeframes
- Working with stakeholders to track audit actions and to expedite their successful delivery
- Building strong and fruitful relationships both within the IA team, across the business, and externally where necessary
- Supporting the IA team and the wider business in the understanding and use of its approaches, strategies and tools
- Developing the skills required to increase individual levels of autonomy, assertiveness, self-confidence and the ability to manage ambiguity
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of business developments that impact the Group, and sharing key elements with the wider team in an easy-to-understand manner
- Taking effective and authentic ownership of audits and other work, and adopting a leadership mindset in so doing
- Adopting the mindset, behaviours and ethos of our Leader-Leader approach and following the guidelines in creating a safe space
- Identifying and proposing pragmatic solutions for more effective processes and operations, both within IA and across the business
- Contributing ideas to the development of the strategy and continuous improvement of IA

What you will bring:
- Qualifications: relevant audit, accountancy, technology or equivalent
- Experience of delivering complex internal audits successfully and presenting the results effectively to senior audiences
- Experience of research into the application of new audit approaches and techniques
- A track record of delivering results in an external audit, internal audit or internal control assurance capacity including:
- external or internal audit experience;
- knowledge and experience in developing; executing and managing audit reviews;
- staff management;
- process documentation and report writing;
- Managing contracts with service providers and other third parties;
- Developing and implementing new ways of working and delivering results, and taking initiative without the need for supervision or guidance;
- Leadership, resource and project management of a team delivering assurance services
- The ability to learn new areas and disciplines quickly, calmly and pragmatically
- Effective problem solving in complex areas and limited information, adopting creative and lateral approaches
- A well-developed, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the methods and technology used to provide assurance, including some experience in data analytics and automation, ;
- A solid understanding of IIA standards and ethics
- Effective auditing practices and techniques
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong empathy; the ability to see the world through other people’s eyes
- The ability to stay calm and maintain composure under pressure
- Other: there is a degree of travel required for the role which could cover those areas in Enstar’s geographical footprint (US, Bermuda, Europe, Australia). This is not likely to exceed four weeks per year.
