Business Development Manager | Macclesfield | Private Hospital | Permanent | Full time | 37.5 hours per week | £37,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Spire Regency Hospital, Macclesfield is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team on a full‑time, permanent basis.
We are looking for a pro‑active and results‑oriented business development and marketing professional to drive growth, referrals and brand awareness for our hospital.

Contract type: Permanent, Full‑timeWorking hours: Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm – some requirement for evening work depending on event delivery
Responsibilities:
- Be a highly visible member of the team, identifying and resolving issues to improve consultant activity and share of practice.
- Support the Hospital Director and Business Development Director in delivering business development initiatives focused on the hospital’s consultant body.
- Act as a first point of contact to support consultants’ activity growth.
- Collaborate with central communications colleagues to deliver consultant communication, including the Two Minute Times and ad‑hoc updates.
- Provide a standardised monthly suite of consultant reports to the hospital SMT, including activity, conversion and commercial performance with actionable recommendations.
- Co‑create, own and update a consultant acquisition/provision database with the hospital PP administrator to ensure suitable numbers of future, new and established consultants across specialties.
- Liaise with the Hub BDE for PR opportunities involving the hospital’s consultants or services.
- Support the generation of content for Spire social media channels.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the UK private healthcare system.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Proactive, enthusiastic self‑starter able to work unsupervised.
- Competent MS Office user.
- Strong prioritisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
