Apply for the Senior Business Development Manager
Location: Greater London
Job Description:

You will focus on building and converting demand from fast‑moving, high‑growth sectors: AI labs, tech platforms, internet‑scale businesses, mapping/navigation, mobility and adjacent verticals. The role is hands‑on, outbound‑oriented, and geared toward fast pipeline throughput and early‑stage commercial wins. It is essential for broadening the reach of Data Monetisation and diversifying beyond traditional finance.

Delivering early volume and breadth across tech, AI and mobility verticals de‑risks the monetisation roadmap, demonstrates cross‑sector demand, and builds a scalable base beyond finance – essential for long‑term growth and product‑market‑fit validation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in selling tech, cloud, data, SaaS or AI‑related products, ideally to fast‑growing or startup/scale‑up clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, ability to explain data products in business value terms.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, with ability to tailor deals and offerings for smaller or more agile clients.
  • Good networking and outreach skills, including direct sales and broker/distributor collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Market Outreach & Pipeline Building.
  • Identify, target and engage potential clients in AI, mapping, mobility, tech platforms and adjacent sectors.
  • Conduct outbound outreach (direct sales, broker channels, partnerships) to generate leads and build a qualified pipeline.
  • Client Qualification, Discovery & Commercial Structuring.
  • Run structured discovery sessions to understand data needs, use cases (e.g., model training, mobility analysis, Internet‑scale analytics), data formats, compliance/privacy requirements.
  • Work with internal Product teams to develop custom or semi‑custom offerings when needed.
  • Deal Execution & Onboarding.
  • Drive deals end‑to‑end: from first conversation to contract signing, coordinating with internal Legal, Privacy & Engineering as needed.
  • Account Management & Upsell Identification.
  • Maintain post‑sales relationships to ensure delivery satisfaction, surface additional needs, and convert into follow‑on or expanded contracts.
  • Collaborate with Product to feed back real‑world usage insights, inform roadmap, and uncover new opportunity areas.
