Role Description

This is not a passive sales role.

We are hiring an Auctions Business Development Manager who is driven, relentless, and focused on results. This is a primarily remote role, with occasional in-person days required at our Manchester office for meetings, onboarding, or team collaboration. This is a performance-led position — not a clock-in, clock-out job.

Your job is simple: generate revenue.

You will be expected to go out and win business consistently from home through cold calling, email outreach, and persistent follow-up. You will be targeting companies with surplus stock, liquidation requirements, and ongoing clearance needs, converting them into long-term auction clients.

You will be responsible for generating your own leads. We do not provide a steady flow of inbound leads — you are expected to identify, source, and build your own pipeline from scratch.

If you are not comfortable picking up the phone daily, sourcing your own opportunities, and chasing deals, this is not the role for you.

Responsibilities

Generate new business through self-sourced leads using high-volume outbound activity (calls, emails, follow-ups)Identify and research target businesses and decision-makersBuild, manage, and continuously grow your own pipeline of opportunitiesConvert prospects into active auction clientsRelentlessly follow up until deals are closedManage and grow your own portfolio of vendorsWork closely with internal teams to onboard and deliver successful auctionsTrack all activity and performance through CRM systemsConsistently hit and exceed revenue targets

Performance Expectations (Non-Negotiable)

80–120 outbound calls per day depending on pipeline stageDaily self-generated lead sourcing and outreachDaily email outreach and structured follow-upsWeekly new client acquisition targetsMonthly revenue targets directly linked to commission100% CRM usage with accurate and up-to-date reporting

All activity is tracked. Your output will be visible at all times through call logs, CRM, and results.

First 90 Days

Learn and fully understand our auction model and sales processBuild a consistent and active pipeline of self-generated qualified leadsClose your first deals and onboard new vendorsOperate independently with strong daily activity levelsBegin contributing measurable revenue to the business

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a high-activity, target-driven sales or business development roleConfident and comfortable with cold calling, objection handling, and closingAbility to source and generate your own leads consistentlyHighly organised with strong pipeline management skillsSelf-motivated, disciplined, and accountableResilient — able to handle rejection and maintain consistencyCompetitive mindset with a strong desire to earn

Experience in auctions, asset sales, liquidation, or related sectors is advantageous but not essential

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission

This role is built for high performers. If you produce results, you will be rewarded accordingly. There is no ceiling on earnings.
