Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational car parking services under the direction of the Head of Trust Security, ensuring high‑level service delivery to the CUH Trust.
  • Develop and implement the Trust’s car parking policies and procedures and audit their application.
  • Liaise effectively with managers and service teams to make complex decisions that impact parking across the Trust, negotiating with supply partners as required.
  • Provide a central advisory and information service on all matters concerning car parking, applying ACOPs, British and European standards and other national initiatives.
  • Accountable for the car parking services and lead their development, maintaining and enhancing overall operational standards in line with service needs and contracts.
  • Utilise a range of IT applications, developing specialist knowledge of work procedures and practices, and manage the access control systems operationally.
  • Collate data for financial analysis and recharging purposes across the Trust using identified parking systems and associated reporting matrices.
  • Monitor risks related to the area of responsibility, keep risk assessments updated and track changes through the Trust risk register.
  • Report and liaise daily with the Head of Service to ensure effective communication of all matters pertaining to the operational delivery of a high‑level service.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant practical experience in the operational management of parking services or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of ACOPs, British and European parking standards, and other national directives.
  • Strong negotiation, diplomacy and decision‑making skills.
  • Proficiency in IT applications and data analysis for financial purposes.
  • Experience with access control systems and risk assessment processes.
