Cytoplan is seeking an experienced and values-aligned Non‑Executive Director to join our Board, bringing deep expertise in communications, brand narrative, education and reputation management—particularly within premium and female‑focused consumer markets.
As a certified B Corp, we are committed to ethical business practices, scientific integrity, and supporting people’s long‑term well‑being. This role will play a key part in supporting Cytoplan’s communication of its purpose, building trust, educating, and deepening its connection with its core audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic support on Cytoplan’s communications strategy, offering guidance on messaging clarity, consistency, and authenticity across all touchpoints
- Advise on brand narrative and storytelling, translating scientific credibility and ethical values into compelling, consumer‑relevant messaging
- Assist in shaping the company’s education strategy to ensure it remains objective, clear, and pertinent.
- Support the development of a strong and differentiated voice that resonates with our core demographic—ethically driven women aged 45+ focused on preventive health
- Offer expertise in media relations, PR, and reputation management, helping to build authority and trust in a complex health landscape
- Help guide the business on communicating purpose, impact, and B Corp values in a way that is credible and meaningful
- Act as a critical friend to the executive team, providing constructive challenge on communications decisions and external positioning
Candidate Profile
- Former Communications Director, Chief Communications Officer, or equivalent senior leadership role
- A proven history of educating and informing key audiences on topics that promote people’s health and empowerment.
- Extensive experience in consumer communications within premium, purpose‑led, or health/wellness brands
- Deep understanding of brand narrative, media, PR, and reputation management
- Strong insight into female consumer audiences, particularly women aged 45+
- Experience shaping and protecting brand trust in regulated or credibility-sensitive sectors is highly desirable
- Clear alignment with Cytoplan’s mission and values, including a commitment to ethical business and preventive health
