About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst to work within the Risk team of an LNG trading company.

This is a strategic role where you will work between business and IT, helping improve processes, manage risk, and ensure technology supports business goals.

You will be involved in the full trading lifecycle (front to back office) including trading, shipping/logistics, and settlements.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with business and IT teams
• Understand requirements and turn them into practical solutions
• Identify process gaps, risks, and areas for improvement
• Create simple solutions or proof of concepts (POCs)
• Do process mapping across trading and logistics
• Work with data and support reporting/analysis
• Communicate with senior stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in LNG, natural gas, or crude oil trading
• Good understanding of trading lifecycle (front, middle, back office)
• Exposure to shipping / logistics
• Experience working with or around risk teams
• Strong business analysis experience (requirements, process mapping)

Technical Skills

• Basic to good SQL knowledge
• Strong Excel skills (VBA/macros is a plus)
• Able to work with data and build simple solutions
• Knowledge of systems like IMOS is a plus
• Experience with ION Endur ETRM is helpful but not required

Soft Skills

• Good communication and stakeholder management
• Problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Important

• This is a fully onsite role in London (no hybrid)
• Senior-level role with strong exposure to business decisions
