Freelance Performance Marketing Contractor, 3 Month Contract

Location: City of London, 4 days per week on site

Start: ASAP

Rate: Up to £300 per day (inside IR35)

Introduction

We are working with a well-established organisation looking to bring in a Freelance Performance Marketing Contractor to support across a range of digital campaigns. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly step in, assess performance, and drive immediate improvements across paid media activity.

The Role

This position is suited to a hands-on performance marketer with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to work at pace. You will be responsible for auditing, optimising, and scaling paid media campaigns across key digital channels, ensuring strong performance against business objectives.

You will work closely with internal teams and senior stakeholders, using data-led insights to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

• Auditing existing paid media campaigns and identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth

• Planning, launching, and managing campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager

• Managing budget allocation, audience targeting, and creative testing to maximise performance

• Monitoring and optimising key performance metrics

• Implementing structured A/B testing across creatives, audiences, and landing pages

• Analysing campaign data and translating it into clear, actionable insights

• Working with CRM, CMS, and marketing automation tools, adapting quickly to new platforms and systems

You – Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital/performance marketing

• Strong hands-on experience across paid media channels, particularly Google Ads and Meta

• Proven ability to audit and optimise campaigns quickly and effectively

• Strong understanding of performance marketing KPIs and commercial drivers

• Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to inform decisions

• Experience running structured A/B testing and optimisation programmes

• Confident managing stakeholders and presenting insights clearly

• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and delivering results under tight timelines

• Familiarity with CRM systems, CMS platforms, and marketing technology tools

• Able to work on-site 4 days per week in London
