Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Small Works Manager based at RAF Wittering. The role entails managing and delivering small works projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to high-quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing project planning, liaising with stakeholders, managing contractors, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Project management and organizational skills, including the ability to plan, schedule, and oversee the execution of multiple projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders, team members, and contractors.
- Experience in budget management and ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to facilities management and construction projects.
- Familiarity with construction tools, methods, and materials used in small works projects.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and project management tools.
- Professional certifications related to project management or construction (e.g., PRINCE2, APM), and experience in the defense or facilities management sector are advantageous.
