Trimble is looking for a collaborative, low-key leader to manage our European QA teams, driving performance and high-quality standards for software that millions of creatives use to design everything from treehouses to transit centers.
What Makes This Role Great In this pivotal leadership role, you will be at the forefront of transforming our QA culture, directly influencing the reliability of SketchUp’s cloud-native, AI-centric platform and shaping the future of design collaboration. You will have the unique opportunity to build and mentor high-performing teams across our Extensibility, Interoperability, and Habitat groups, ensuring our software continues to be intuitive and accessible for millions of global users.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a shift-left QA mindset across European teams to integrate quality early in the development lifecycle
- Build and lead a top-tier engineering team by overseeing high-quality hiring, onboarding, and continuous performance mentorship
- Direct the strategic development of OKRs and KPIs to transparently track and elevate the QA team’s impact
- Own the quality roadmap for SketchUp’s AI-centric platform, coordinating release tasks and test plans to streamline design collaboration
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing innovative process or automation changes that challenge the team to thrive
Essential Skills & Experience
- Technical degree or a non-technical degree paired with 2+ years of technical software experience
- 5+ years of experience in manual or automation testing
- At least 2 years in a dedicated team leadership capacity
- Natural collaborator with strong communication skills and a deep familiarity with Agile software development environments
- Proven track record in performance management and improving team productivity
Bonus Points For
- Practical experience with AI implementation and testing methodologies
- Proficiency with 3D/2D modeling and visualization software, or real-world experience in the Architectural or Civil Engineering fields
- Previous experience managing direct reports in a multi-team environment
