Tradewind are recruiting a Geography Teacher for a high‑achieving, mixed secondary school located in Islington, London. This full‑time position starts in the Summer Term.
Position Overview
The role involves teaching Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a supportive and forward‑thinking environment. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons, plan and prepare schemes of work in line with the national curriculum, assess and track student progress, differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management, and contribute positively to the wider humanities department and school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver geographically focused lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Plan and prepare schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess and track student progress to ensure high attainment.
- Differentiate instruction to support all learners.
- Maintain high classroom standards of behaviour and management.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the humanities department and wider school community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and genuine passion for Geography.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Reflective practitioner committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil progress.
