Senior Project Manager — Birmingham preferred, but all other UK locations considered.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex, enterprise‑wide technology and business transformation initiatives within the Digital Delivery & Change team. They will:

  • Report to the Head of Digital Delivery & Change and deliver complex transformation projects across the firm, with matrix‑management of project resources from other areas and third‑party suppliers as appropriate.
  • Line manage the Digital Delivery & Change Senior Business Analyst, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Project Coordinators; monitor performance, set objectives, conduct 6‑monthly check‑ins and annual appraisals, and provide guidance on learning and development plans.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive working environment with a focus on delivering meaningful change.

Qualifications and experience

  • Significant experience delivering complex, enterprise‑wide transformation projects using waterfall, agile or hybrid approaches, ideally in a legal or financial services environment.
  • Proven experience leading cross‑functional project teams within a matrix delivery environment.
  • Experience in procurement processes, selection and engagement of third‑party providers and ongoing relationship management of third‑party implementation partners and/or solution providers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage senior stakeholders; ability to negotiate, influence, persuade and challenge the status quo when required.
  • Demonstrable line management, coaching or mentoring experience within a project delivery function.
  • Flexible and willing to take on tasks outside of normal scope or support other teams when needed.

Working arrangement

Our standard hours are 9:30am–5:30pm with a 3 days in the office, 2 days from home model. We are open to flexible working requests.
