Senior PLC software engineer

Role: PLC Software Engineer Location: Dungannon Hours: Full Time (41.5 hours, early finish Friday) Pay: £45,000 to £60,000 An excellent opportunity has arisen for aPLC Software Engineer to join a leading engineering manufacturer specialising in automated machinery and Ground Support Equipment. ThisPLC Software Engineer role is ideal for someone with strong PLC programming experience who enjoys working on real machinery, improving systems, and solving technical problems in a fast-paced engineering environment. Benefits: Health Cash Plan Pension & Life Assurance Discounted gym, retail & insurance Cycle to Work & Technology Scheme Early finish on Fridays On-site parking & regular social events The Role: Program and develop PLC software for automated machinery and industrial systems Test, debug and optimise PLC control systems to improve performance and reliability Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers on integrated automation projects Support HMI development and system interfaces Fault-find and troubleshoot PLC and control system issues Improve existing automation systems and machine efficiency Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams and control logic The Requirements: Experience as aPLC Software Engineer, PLC Programmer or Controls Engineer Strong PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar) Background in automation, manufacturing, machinery or industrial equipment Experience with HMI systems and control panels Ability to fault-find and solve technical issues on live systems Electrical or Mechatronic qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) Experience with CAN Bus / vehicle systems (desirable) If you’re an experiencedPLC Software Engineer looking for your next move in automation and industrial engineering, apply below or call between 8:30am and 5pm (MonFri).
