Store Detective

Overview

Plain Clothed Security Personnel (Store Detective) – Full Time. Location: Sainsbury’s across the Staffordshire and West Midlands area. Pay rate: £15.45 per hour. A valid UK driving licence is required for this role, with a mileage reimbursement scheme for travel to different sites: 45p per mile up to 5000 miles and 25p thereafter. Valid SIA SG DS or CP licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and apprehend persons behaving dishonestly within the agreed legal and safety limits.
• Liaise with local authorities and crime prevention partners to keep up to date with crime trends in the area.
• Be part of a team where safety is a priority and collaboration drives success.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to meet the needs of different people groups.
• Operate effectively in a fast-moving services environment.
• Utilise technology to support security duties and reporting.
• Maintain good attention to detail and demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and teamwork.

Requirements

• Full 5-year checkable employment/education history is essential.
• Valid UK driving licence is required for this role with the associated mileage reimbursement scheme described above.
• Valid SIA SG DS or CP licence is required.
